GSFS was informed that Asbury Park based lightweight Chris "Smooth Operator" Green will take a notable step up in competition when he battles well regarded Yaundale Evans tonight on an ESPN televised card at the Fuchs Pavilion in Miami, FL.
Green, 3-1 (1), shut out Luquan Lewis in his most recent bout back in August 2009. Prior to that, Green suffered his lone defeat via unanamous decision at the hands of Mondre Pope.
At 7-0 (5 KO's), Evans has stopped four of his opponents in the opening round and also owns an impressive victory over awkward veteran Jason Rorie.
Green-Evans is slated for six rounds and will reportedly air as a swing bout if another fight ends early.
