Vineland based Puerto Rican lightweight Jose "El Gallo" Reyes will return against an opponent TBA in a six rounder August 28 at the Taj Mahal in AC.
A loser of his last three bouts, Reyes, 23-7 (8 KO's), was most recently a victim of a thunderous sixth round knockout against Antonio Pitalua. Prior to that, Reyes was disqualified against Efren Hinojosa and dropped close split decision to contender Antonio Demarco.
Reyes holds victories over former world champions Javier Jauregui and Juan Polo Perez as well as contenders Rogers Mtagwa and Noe Bolanos.
The card is headlined by Paulsboro based heavyweight contender Chazz Witherspoon.
