Two time Indian Olympian and Atlantic City native Guru Singh lost for the first time as a professional yesterday after getting stopped by heavyweight contender and fellow former Olympian Timur Ibragimov at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
According to ringside reports, both men got off to a slow start, but Ibragimov took control in round nine by decking Singh with a series of right hands before dropping him again in the tenth via another right hand en route to a stoppage at 1:45.
Ibragimov, of Uzbekistan, improves to 29-2-1 (15 KO's). Singh, who took a big step up in competition, slides to 20-1 (11 KO's).
