Union City's Roberto Acevedo was stopped in the third round this past Saturday by local favorite Carney Bowman at Sovereign Bank Stadium in York, Pennsylvania.
The bout was reportedly foul filled and Acevedo was docked a point for holding. Bowman, who was frustrated with the tactics, took the second round before knocking out Acevedo with a right hand at 0:47. Acevedo had harsh feelings following the bout and a riot nearly took place after the bout when Bowman tried shaking his hand shortly thereafter.
The well regarded Bowman is now 15-0 with 7 kayos. Acevedo falls to 9-11-3 (1) with the defeat.
