Wach weighs in for tomorrow's fight in Rhode Island!



Lincoln, Rhode Island - Unbeaten heavyweight Mariusz "Polski Olbrzym" Wach weighed in at a solid 259 pounds for Friday night's matchup with Galen "Bad Boy" Brown, who weighed 260. The six-round heavyweight bout will take place at the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln, Rhode Island and will be a part of “Homecoming King”, presented by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc (CES) in association with DiBella Entertainment and Twin River.

Wach vs. Brown will support the Peter Manfredo Jr. vs. Jhon Berrio main event.

The 30-year-old Wach (22-0, 10 KO) of North Bergen, NJ by way of Krakow, Poland stands an imposing 6-feet-7 and towers over all of his opponents. The 29-year-old Brown (33-14-1, 20 KO) of Saint Joseph, Missouri has faced a who's who in the heavyweight division and isn't intimidated of his opponent.

Wach is a veteran of 90 amateur fights, winning two gold medals at the Individual Polish Championships, a silver medal in the 2004 European Union Championships. Wach was also an alternate on the 2004 Polish Summer Olympics team that traveled to Athens, Greece. He has also trained alongside some of the best professionals in the world, serving as a sparring partner for former heavyweight champions Samuel Peter and Ruslan Chagaev.
