Zegarra to face Beeman!

Manager Nelson Fernandez informed GSFS that unbeaten Junior Welterweight Juan "JZ" Zegarra of North Bergen by way of Peru will face Providence RI's Josh Beeman Saturday, November 12 at Schuetzen Park.

With a record of 5-0 with 5 knockouts, the entertaining Zegarra will be fighting in the US for the first time in almost a year. His most recent bout took place in June, where he scored a second round knockout over Julio Borges. Zegarra was scheduled to fight a few weeks back in West New York, but his opponent pulled out at the last minute.

The experienced Beeman is 4-8 with 2 KO's and has shared the squared circle with a number of well regarded fighters including Jose Benavidez, Emmanuel Taylor, Hank Lundy and Paterson's Jeremy Bryan.

"It has not been easy to get Juan opponents," noted Fernandez. "Everybody wants a ton of money to fight him."

Zegarra and Beeman will meet over six rounds.
