Adamek-Maddalone Finalized for Decemebr 9!

According to a brief press release by Promoter Main Events, Secaucus' Tomasz "Goral" Adamek will defend his IBF International Heavyweight title against fringe contender Vinny Maddalone of Queens, NY Thursday, December 9 at Newark's Prudential Center.

Adamek is quickly becoming the biggest thing in New Jersey boxing since the late, great Arturo Gatti, packing upwards of 10,000 fans for his last two bouts in the Garden State. At 42-1 (27 KO's) Adamek is on the cusp of a world title shot and is fresh off an August 21 unanamous decision victory over Michael Grant at the aforementioned Prudential Center.

Maddalone, 33-6 (24 KO's), is known for his toughness and give two to take one style of fighting. Although he's dropped his most notable bouts, including setbacks against former world champions Evander Holyfield, Al Cole and Jean Marc Mormek, Maddalone always gave a game effort. In his most recent bout, Maddalone, who has a solid local fanbase in his own right, stopped Dominique Alexander inside of five rounds in AC.

Currently slated to appear on the undercard are fellow Patrick Majewski of AC and Mateusz Masternak of Poland. Bouts featuring other local fighters will be added in the near future.
