Adamek Stops Golota in Poland!
Secaucus' Tomasz Adamek entered the Heavyweight ranks in style, dominating former title contender Andrew Golita en route to a 5th round stoppage last night in Lodz, Poland. Dubbed as "The Polish Fight of the Century", Adamek controlled Golota throughout the contest, dropping the fellow Pole with a perfectly placed right hand in the fifth. A follow up assault forced referee Bill Clancy to stop the bout at 1:20.
Adamek, who has not ruled out a return to the Cruiserweight division, improved to 39-1 (27 KO's).
