Zab Judah to Fight July 16 at the Prudential Center?

Just moments ago, GSFS received a press release from Totowa based Main Events announcing they will co-promote multi time world champion and former unified welterweight kingpin Zab "Super" Judah. M.E. stated he will return to the squared circle under their banner in July, but didn't announce a specific date. According to other sources involved, the fight card will to take place July 16 at the Prudential Center, where former cruiserweight champion turned heavyweight contender Tomasz Adamek drew enormous crowds.

Judah, 38-6 (26 KO's), definitely has a shot of becoming a decent draw in Newark, even though he is towards the end of his career. His star power was clearly evident a few weeks back when fans mobbed him during an appearance at Madison Square Garden for the Amir Khan-Paulie Malignaggi fight.

We were also notified that a number of local prospects are slated to appear on the Judah undercard. More to follow!
