North Brunswick's Jorge Diaz informed GSFS that he will now take on South Korean based New Yorker Jae Sung Lee June 12th at Madison Square Garden's WaMu Theater.
Lee is taking unbeaten Jayson Velez' place and and at 10-2-1 (7 KO's), is no pushover. The hard hitting Lee scored knockouts in his last five victories, while his two defeats came against former title challenger Jesus Perez and well regarded Mikey Garcia.
Diaz, 13-0 (8 KO's), is fighting at the World's Most Famous Arena for a fifth time and is quickly becoming a fan favorite. In his most recent bout on March 20, Diaz outpointed previously unbeaten Alejandro Lopez in a scorcher where he rallied in the final round to pull out a razor thin decision.
If victorious against Lee, Diaz has his sights set on Velez.
Diaz-Lee is scheduled for ten rounds.
