GSFS was notified that multi-time national amateur champion and Paterson based Junior Welterweight prospect Jeremy "Hollywood" Bryan will take on Kenny Abril over eight rounds April 17 in AC as part of the Kelly Pavlk-Sergio Martinez undercard.
A perfect 13-0 with 6 KO's, Bryan has looked terrific thus far as a professional. In his first eight rounder December 4 in Newark, Bryan demolished 17 fight veteran Darren Fallen inside of two rounds.
Abril, a Rochester, NY based southpaw, is unbeaten in his last five fights and sports a 9-3-1 record with 5 KO's. His last bout took place in June of 09, where he outpointed the late Sebastien Hamel. Although he doesn't know much about Abril, the always confident Bryan had little concern about who will emerge victorious.
"I am going to do what I have to, which is to go out there and steal the show by winning", Bryan stated emphatically.
Bryan is promoted by Pound 4 Pound Promotions, who have had a number of their fighters appear on Top Rank (the promoter of record on April 17) undercards.
