Bryan-Fallon Headlines Friday in Newark!


Newark, NJ – Darren Fallon of Philadelphia has stepped in to face unbeaten junior welterweight and former amateur star Jeremy “Hollywood” Bryan Friday night at Essex County College.

With a solid 12-4-1 professional ledger (six by way of kayo), Fallon has faced 2000 Olympian Dante Craig, welterweight contender Shamone Alvarez and Mexican power puncher Alejandro Velez. The battle tested Fallon, who is filling in for Richard Lee Hall, hones his craft at renowned Shulers Gym in Philadelphia and is Bryan’s most experienced foe to date.

Based out of nearby Paterson, NJ, Bryan sports a perfect 12-0 record with 5 knockouts. The two time National Golden Gloves champion blitzed through his opponents thus far as a professional, impressing fight fans in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. Bryan has also received critical acclaim for his all around skills and at twenty three, has a bright future in boxing.

Bryan and Fallon will fight it out over eight rounds in the main event of Edmonds Promotions’ “The Brawl in Brick City”.

Slick southpaw Antonio “The Tiger” Espinosa of West New York, NJ returns to the Garden State for the first time in more than two years to take on Italian import Floriano Pagliara, 9-3 (6 KO’s). Espinosa, 11-0 (1 KO), is coming off back to back shut out victories and will battle Pagliara over six rounds at lightweight.

Hometown hero and WBC CABOFE Welterweight titleholder Alex “Brick City Bullet” Perez, 10-0 (6 KO’s), takes on Berlin, MD’s Joshua “Berlin Bomber” Snyder in an intriguing six round contest. With victories over four unbeaten fighters including Aaron Pryor Jr., Snyder, 8-4 (3 KO’s), is Perez’ toughest opponent to date.

Denis “Mommas Boy” Douglin of Morganville, NJ will take on an opponent TBA over six rounds. The 2008 National Golden Gloves champion is unbeaten as a pro (6-0 3 KO’s) and will fight at junior middleweight for the first time.

A number of local prospects including Tyre Roberts, Angel Santos, Juan Rodriguez, Eddie Edmonds Angel Corception and Joseliz Cepada are set to appear on the undercard in separate bouts.
