Junior Welterweight Deroy Beaton of Toms River earned a hard fought unanimous decision over fellow debutant Jason Sia of Philadelphia by way of the Philippines. The long and lean Beaton did a good job of boxing from the outside while Sia was more concerned with unnecessary movements. Sia did have his moments, using quick shots from close range to tag Beaton but in the end he didn’t do enough. Scores were 40-36 twice and 39-37 for Beaton. GSFS scored the bout 39-37 Beaton
