Carlos Zambrano to Fight in the co-Feature Friday September 18 in Yonkers, NY!

Manager/HBO Latino Broadcaster Nelson Fernandez notified GSFS that his prized prospect Carlos "Mina" Zambrano, 7-0 (3 KO's), of North Bergen by way of Lima, Peru will take on the tough Jason Rorie, 5-3-2 (2 KO's) of Wilson, NC next Friday in Yonkers, NY. Zambrano was a decorated amateur in Peru, compiling a jaw dropping 288-8 amateur record. During his days with larger gloves and headgear, Zambrano won 12 National Titles, 8 South American Titles and a Silver Medal in the Pan-Am Qualifiers.

"Its going to be his toughest fight to date", Fernandez said. "Rorie is always ready to fight and it is a dangerous fight even though his record doesn't show it. He goes in there looking to take you out and it will definitely be a challenge".

Rorie-Zambrano is the co-feature of a nine fight card promoted by O'Shea Boxing. Also appearing on the undercard is Juan "JZ" Zegarra, 2-0 (2 KO's) of North Bergen via Peru and 2008 National Golden Gloves Champion Dennis "Mommas Boy" Douglin, 5-0 (3 KO's) of Morganville. Zegarra will battle Harlem's Bernel Ayes 0-1 while Douglin will challenge Rondu Campbell, 2-1-1 (1 KO) of the Bronx.
