Arnaoutis Drops A Hotly Contested Decision in NYC!

In a split decision that surprised many, Atlantic City's "Mighty" Mike Arnaoutis lost his bid to regain the vacant USBA Junior Welterweight belt against Baltimore, MD's Tim "Pit Bull" Coleman.

Coleman and Arnaoutis' styles did not mesh well, with the latter pressing the fight while Coleman countered, relying on movement and timing. Even with action severely lacking at points, both the broadcast crew and his adopted hometown crowd at The Manhattan Center believed that Arnaoutis did enough to warrant a victory, but the slicker Coleman came away victories. Scores were 115-113 twice for Coleman and 116-112 for Arnaoutis.

For the record, Arnaoutis threw and landed more punches at a higher connect percentage but Coleman did land a good number of crisp shots.

The victory raises Coleman's professional ledger to 17-1-1 (4 KO's), while Arnaoutis drops to 22-4-2 (10 KO's).
