Mejias Stopped By Rossy in One Round!

Paterson's Alexis Mejias was stopped in the opening round last night at Manhattan's M2 Ultra Lounge, making it the second consecutive bout where he failed to make it out of the first. Mejias was decked first by an overhand right, then again with a right cross, forcing referee Dan Schaivone to stop the fight just 2:52 after the opening bell. Mejias, who drops to 10-3 with 4 KO's, finds himself in a tough spot after back to back devastating defeats.

The four round junior welterweight bout between fellow Paterson native Donald Bernard and Victor Kuilan was scrapped at the last minute. Details are unknown at the moment.
